Federal pioneers protective pallet

After 13 years of experience, the Federal/Allied team knows how precious motorcycles are to their owners. That is why they developed custom oversize transport pallets to safely secure motorcycles for worry free transit to their destinations. In fact these custom pallets have evolved through the company’s continuous improvement program to “generation 7” which is now in use today.

Before Federal pioneered the use of skids - wooden pallets built to evenly distribute and support the weight of a bike - motorcycles were strapped to the side of a truck during transportation and pushed in and out of the truck by drivers. By securing the bike to the pallet, the chance for damage is greatly reduced.

With Federal/Allied, bikes are safely secured to Allied’s pallets, so they can be safely moved in and out of vehicles by Allied’s material handling equipment and specialized lift gates which are on the company’s fleet of air ride “Special Products” trucks. Allied’s nationwide fleet of trucks ensures full control of every motorcycle shipment from origin to destination without interlining to foreign carriers.
